DCMF Presents: LIP SYNC 2021!

Great news, Dawson! LIP SYNC will return this Thaw di Gras!

Due to COVID-19, performances will look different, but the event will still have that same spirit of fun and friendly competition.

We are seeking groups or individuals interested in humiliating themselves publicly, on camera, for a good cause at LIP SYNC 2021! Help us craft a hilarious night of fun in support of the Dawson City Music Festival Association by submitting a video of your routine!

To keep you safe and adhere to Public Health measures, performances will be pre-recorded and shown on the big screen at Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall (19+) on Friday, March 19th.

The prize this year? Pure, unadulterated glory knowing you are the champion of the Lip Sync stage! We know..no cash prize is a bit of a bummer. But you will still receive appropriate hype from a panel of “expert” judges!

1) Don your best costumes, choose your favourite song and pre-record your Lip Sync routine using a phone, tablet, or device of your choosing.

2) Send us your video, an MP3 file of your song, and the name of your group by 11:59 pm, March 14th. We can accept files by email, file-sharing services like Google Drive or Dropbox, or on a USB stick. Email assistant@dcmf.com or call (867)-993-5584 to arrange a physical drop-off or for more details.

Don’t forget: We value spirited celebrations but not at the expense of others’ right to feel safe and free from harm. Please keep your recording respectful for a variety of audiences!

Lip Sync videos will be screened on Thaw Di Gras’s opening evening, Friday, March 19th. Doors at 7:00 pm, show starts at 8:00 pm. PWYC donation at the door. 19+ and a valid ID is required.

Mandatory masks, physical distancing, limited capacity, strict sanitization measures, and checking in upon entry all make grabbing your bubble and spending a night at Gerties safe and fun!

Many thanks to the Klondike Visitors Association, Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall, and Thaw Di Gras Spring Carnival.
