DCMF is hiring two seasonal staff to help produce the 46th Annual Dawson City Music Festival.

This is your opportunity to work for one of Canada’s most beloved music festivals and to learn what it takes to present world-class musicians in one the world’s most remote and unique festival environments.


1. PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Working in a highly collaborative environment, the Production Assistant is responsible for a wide range of production, administrative and logistical duties towards the successful presentation of the 46th annual Dawson City Music Festival – July 19-21, 2024.

Application Deadline: May 10, 2024
Location: 802 3rd Ave, Dawson City, Yukon
Start Date: ASAP
Term length and hours: 12 weeks – 35 hours/week (weekly hours may vary)
Compensation: $24.00/hour 
Eligibility Criteria: All applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred; and have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

2. VOLUNTEER & SAFETY COORDINATOR

Working in a highly collaborative environment, the Safety & Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing teams of volunteers during the Festival (July 19-21); guiding, administering and overseeing the festival’s Safety Plan; and contributing to providing a safe and welcoming space for all attendees, artists, and participants.

Start Date: ASAP
Term length and hours: 13 weeks – 30 hours/week (weekly hours may vary)
Compensation: $22.00/hour – total contract $7,410
Eligibility Criteria: All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada. Applicants must also be under 25 and have been a Yukon resident since March 2023 OR have been a full-time student at a secondary or post-secondary school for at least one semester during the current academic year.
