“Quinton Blair is a total blast of fresh ‘country’ air. In an industry rife with faux country artists, Blair is the real deal and we’re lucky to have him!”
— Bruce Leperre 730 CKDM / Winnipeg Free Press
Honest as a day spent on a tractor, and driven like the drifting prairie snow—Quinton Blair (or Q for short) is a self-ordained troubadour, tale-spinner and songwriter. Imagine Steve Earle jamming with Dwight Yoakam, minus the burden of fame. Sounds like a dream come true! Quinton Blair was named Manitoba Country Music Association Roots Artist of the Year for 2015 and 2016, and he is doing his best to keep that momentum truckin’ along right into 2017 as well. So far, he’s received an East Coast Music Awards nomination and has a whack of tour dates all across this fair land.
Mr. Blair is a down-home fella with deep Manitoba roots—he’s got his own hobby farm in the country where he lives with his family and rests his roots. But Q’s home away from home is on stage at rodeos, county fairs, music festivals, bars and clubs from as far north as Kugluktuk, Nunavut and as far south as Tennessee. From the legendary Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club in Winnipeg to the Nashville Palace in Nashville Tennessee, he’s able to find his place. Q has a blue-collar approach to his music and life shines through in his earnest, at-ease songwriting and stage presence. He is a singer-songwriter who captivates the audience at every show with his down-to-earth, witty storytelling and his guitar pickin’, honky-tonkin’, old-fashioned country-folk sound. Help make Quinton Blair feel right at home at the 2017 Dawson City Music Festival!
