The hardest working men in show business just might be Gord Polichek, George McConkey, Willie Gordon and Richard Halliday, better known as the Pit house and. Given a slight reprieve from their usual Bataan Death March-like pace of performing six night a week at their namesake establishment, these guys didn’t do anything silly like taking it easy or going on holidays. Instead, they starting popping up in various confi gurations all over town, two of them playing on a patio here, three of them in bar over here, all four of them just down by the river.... Wherever they play, these guys deliver the goods, with a repertoire that ranges from country to Celtic to Appalachian to good ol’ rock and roll. For their 2006 DCMF appearance, they’ll be focusing on the blues, and we’re very excited to hear a set of mostly new original material, interspersed with a few of the classics that keep us dancing on those long winter nights...
